Since the start of my working life, I’ve taken note of all my favorite quotes from people, books, articles, and other sources. Most were collected on paper and Google Docs, and I now continue saving them in my Notes app (iPhone). I feel it’s important to preserve them, knowing I might not see those pages or words again. It’s safe to say I have over 1,000 quotes noted down, and they have provided wisdom throughout my journey. I believe they could hold value for you as well.
Starting today, I’ll be sharing them every Monday.
From time to time, I may share entire passages or links that offer insights or something worth reading, but these will generally be short and to the point.
Whether they spark a new thought, challenge an old belief, or simply offer a fresh perspective, I believe these words are worth sharing.
Here are the first five:
“All bubbles start with some nugget of truth.
Tulips are beautiful and rare (in seventeenth-century Holland)
Real estate can keep up with inflation, and you can always live in a house”
“A wise man can learn more from a foolish question than a fool can learn from a wise answer.”
Bruce Lee
“Ability is of little account without opportunity.”
— Napoleon Bonaparte
“I have never met a wise man who doesn’t read.”
— Warren Buffett
“If you can’t trust a man’s word, you can’t trust his signature.”
— Warren Bechtel
Thank you and see you next week.
Best regards,
Keenan
